Testing your Hemoglobin A1C At Home

Hemoglobin A1c Test

Now You Can Bring It Home With You

When Managing your Diabetes it is very important to get a clear view of your blood glucose levels. This can be done through a simple blood test called a "Hemoglobin A1c Test". Hemoglobin A1c test are different from you routine blood glucose monitoring set in the fact that they give you a full picture of what your blood glucose levels have
been like over a 3 month period. Try to think of it like this , a daily glucose test gives you a snapshot of what your blood glucose levels are like while a A1c will give you the full length movie.

Till now A1C's were only available in your doctors office , but now with the help of technology you are able to take the A1c test in the comfort of your own home, they are nearly identical to your regular daily home glucose level monitoring test in the way the blood is drawn,so there is absolutely nothing to lose and only a better understanding of your blood glucose levels to gain.

According to the Mayo clinic the average A1c should be in the range of 4.5-6 percent. It is recommended for diabetics get tested every 3 months and for non diabetics to be tested twice a yr. There are many factors that may effect your A1c results, consult with your doctor when obtaining your results .

Omega 3 and Fish Oil

Fish oil and fish oil supplements contain the Omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA that are imperative to cell functioning. When our bodies are deprived of the omega 3s they need, it stunts our bodies ability to functioning properly causing bodily weakening. We all require omega 3s to sustain our minds and bodies keeping them healthy and running efficiently and therefore   getting your daily fish oil recommended dosage is imperative to your well-being.
Our bodies lack the abilities to produce these particular fatty acids that need to be included in our diet.  Since our western diets often don't supply us with the sufficient amount of omega 3-rich foods such as, salmon, flax seeds, walnuts or kale, resulting in people  turning to fish oil supplements as their main  source of omega 3s. Fresh foods,  primarily fish, are an excellent source of omega 3, but one must be wary not to partake in  too much fresh fish because of the toxins (high quality supplements solve the toxin problem because they are purified to remove contaminants).  To get a 1-gram daily dose of omega 3 fatty acids, you have to consume about, four to seven servings of cod, or one to two servings of salmon. Now, that's a lot of fish along with a generous helping of contaminants on the side.
On a side note:  our western diets are now superfluous with omega 6s, omega 3's ally, both are important to a healthy lifestyle, and our bodies need the right balance of the two for proper bodily functioning . Basically if you eat a typical western diet (which we all unwillingly do) which is filled with processed foods, you probably need to take fish oil just to get in balance with your Omega 3 and Omega 6.
